Hi all, I've tried a search, and I do recall some information from postings in the last couple of years, but haven't found enough to be fully aware of the best way to change both the name, and the home port of our barge. Our barge is on the Dutch Kadaster. For her BIG birthday, we are planning to return her to her original name, and, if possible, her original home port.
I'm aware that the Groningen Kadaster office exists, and have contacted them (by email) once before for another registration matter, but they politely sent me to the national office. There was no response from that office to my efforts to communicate.
I also have a sense that a notary, or close equivalent, might be necessary.
I'm expecting that a name change is not too difficult, but what of the change in port? Do we have to find a friendly local (in Wormeveer) to provide an address?
We're pretty well versed in the various traditions associated with a name change, and plan to concentrate on those that feature the generous consumption of wine, spirits and high calorie food.

Oh, and one other thing, does anyone have a direct link to the Rotterdam Maritime Museum historic ships database? While we plan a personal visit as recommended by various DBA'ers, a Google search reveals an entry (titled 1352 -MMR Liggers) that seems to link to her entry in the database, but currently sends us to the Welcome page for the "new" website. I can't find a portal anywhere on their site.
