hello, does anyone have experience with Awlcraft 2000 paint?
I have a barge painted above the hull in Awlcraft 2000 'cream'. I have the inevitable scuffs and scrapes as i bounce off locks and other things and need to do some tidying. Trouble is the Awlcraft website makes this look like a technical and costly operation best done by an expert...which i am not! also requires spraying not hand painting etc etc. Want to get it right so maybe i have to fork out and go on a master spray painting course first?!

appreciate hearing from any other Awlcraft users. thks.

Hi Tony,

Our barge Wanderlust is painted in AWLGrip 2000. It’s less than a year old and we’ve already done touch ups, not just from locks but also from where it’s been scratched by bike pedals and such and rusted. I painted that section of the deck with a roller as it contains grit. As for the touch-ups on the shiny, smooth cab & hull surfaces, I will be using an artist brush or 1-inch brush depending on the size. Granted it will not be perfect but it will mitigate the rust.

I’m not an expert by any means, just what I’ve done so keep inquiring.

Many thanks Becky. I have probably spent too much time over analysing and made this more complex than it needs to be...often the case when you follow manufacturers guidelines and instructions. Like you I will get the paint and start to use a roller and brush!
