Winterising + Phone Number

We are packing up today for the winter.

There are a few live aboard's here on the moorings who I have given my number too but I was wondering about putting a contact number in the window as well.

Yes or No?

It is often done.

The argument is that it shows an empty boat, but all anyone has to do is watch a boat for an hour to find out if it is empty, they have "a look" about them.

The good thing is that in an emergency you are contactable.

More important is a professional looking sign that says "Alarm Installed", having said that I have neither, but we are aboard most of the time. A flashing red LED gives the impression of an alarm detector.
