If you use 18v Makita cordless power tools, they do a vacuum which uses the same batteries.
Really good for the workshop or the living space. Batteries charge very quickly and the vacuum lasts for ages on one charge.

Cleaner

Bosch looks interesting, any recommendations for just a handheld rechargeable vac?

Talking about good deals
I just ordered a Karcher SC1020 Steam Cleaner from Tesco Direct, at 89 pounds following a 30 pound discount, but the main reason for the good value is if you are a Tesco Club card member they are offering an additional 1,000 points so with the boost of doubling the value of coupons , this equates to an additional 22 pounds approx, so get a good quality steam cleaner for what equates to 67 pounds, when the future coupons are also considered.

I'm starting to wonder how many bargees it takes to change a vacuum cleaner!

And now we're wandering off the topic into steam cleaners. No barge should be without one!
