Sorry if these questions have been already been asked.

I have tried the Knowledge base and "search" without finding answers.

1. The 20 m starting length, is this length overall or length at waterline?

2. Is there a surveyor working in France who undertakes the TRWV surveys and issues compliance certificates?

It looks like Peter Voeman is no longer available, maybe that is wrong.

Hope someone can help

On the subject of the TRIWV. We have a Dutch Certificaat (CBB ) which was done by Peter Voerman in 2010, We have been told by others that the Dutch certificate is for 7 years? Within our certificate it shows a date of end of validity as 2015 ie: only 5 years. Are there two levels or did the 7 years come in after 2010 perhaps?

We did have an out of water survey last year by an English surveyor when we purchased the barge so have a hull thickness plan from then, does anyone know if this would be valid for updating our certificate next year.? ( if indeed it is only valid for 5 years ) Or do we have to have another out of water survey by an approved Dutch surveyor?
We would really appreciate quick replies from anyone who has a definitive answer to this as we are in a shipyard at this moment for about another 3 days so it would be relatively easy to get another survey done now.

Many thanks

Dutch certificates are normally for seven years, but if anything like Belgium, which I am more used to, they will be dated from the date of the hull survey, not the TRIWV inspection. Perhaps that explains the difference but I do not know for sure.

If you are dealing with the Dutch then they do seem to accept hull surveys from suitable UK surveyors, i.e. members of a recognised body. If last year's survey is still less than two years old when you renew they may accept that.
